Kurz währt des Sommers Zeit

An evening walk through illuminated soundscapes

Hundreds of lights illuminate the park surrounding Bad Vilbel Castle during the evening hours. Equipped with GPS-enabled headphones, visitors navigate narrow paths through artful light and sound installations. No two paths are the same — voices drift, fade, and swell, leading to places others may never experience. Sound, light, text, and environment merge into a stage, where the audience becomes the directors of their own evening.

After the great success of Soll ich dich einem Sommertag vergleichen, HELLA LUX returns to the Burgfestspiele Bad Vilbel with ‘Kurz währt des Sommers Zeit’, an evolution of the previous production. Featuring new locations, sculptures, and auditory experiences, this large-scale event transforms the castle park in Bad Vilbel into an enchanting world of sound and light.

"Suddenly, a voice sounds in your ear. A sonnet can be heard, as if someone were standing right beside you. In the distance, a group of illuminated trees appears, alongside a multi-colored light installation. The walk transforms into a meditation, accompanied by light and sound. It was a beautiful sound journey. I didn’t know what to focus on first—the light, the sensory impressions, the language…' says B. Hoffmann. 'You just want to go back again and experience it all over once more.”— WZ
