Immer wieder Wir

Would Aliens date us?

In December 2023, NASA lost contact with Voyager 1 – and with it, the Golden Record: a 1977 time capsule sent into space carrying music, images, and greetings from Earth. Was it a message of hope, a PR move for alien encounters, or a quiet SOS from a planet on the brink?

HELLA LUX revisits these questions to create a “Golden Record 2.0” with the audience: a live mix of performance and symposium that collects sounds, thoughts, and images for a new profile of Earth – one that doesn’t hide its contradictions and hopes for a shared future.

Info

On Tour: A central element of the performance Immer wieder Wir consists of guest contributions by experts who, in short statements, offer diverse perspectives on human behavior. For guest performances, these contributions can be adapted to the local context in order to include current social discourses and existing communities on site. Feel free to get in touch with us!

Hybrid: This production was developed through hybrid rehearsals that combined analog and digital creative methods to shape this new piece. On stage, IMMER WIEDER WIR invites virtual performers to join the performance. With contributions from, among others, LÉLÉ COCOON, LISA PAULINE WAGNER, and PROF. DR. DENNIS EVERSBERG, the performance becomes a hybrid symposium.
