ALL THE TIME
A video walk through time and space
What if we could travel through time? ALL THE TIME opens a window into endless dimensions of time, illuminating the urban landscape along the way. Equipped with a smartphone, participants follow a route through the Frankfurt districts of Ostend and Bornheim. The small screen in front of them becomes a portal into different time layers, a springboard into the past and future. What existed in this place 50 or 100 years ago? And what will remain 3,000 years from now?
ALL THE TIME explores historical, political, and ecological change, offering a theatrical reflection on the different states of time: the past, the present, and what lies ahead—blurred and clear, dystopian and hopeful. The video walkwas developed in collaboration with national and international partners through digital seminars and in cooperation with associated artists from the HELLA LUX network.
HELLA LUX notes: If you’re interested, contact us and we will provide access to the video walk as a stream. The starting point of the walk is Studio Naxos in Frankfurt am Main. The leaflet is available in the download section.
From age 12 | Available in German and English | 90 minutes
Info
ALL THE TIME is an international cultural project developed by the artistic team of HELLA LUX. Participants from around the world collaborated in digital seminars to create the video-audio walk ALL THE TIME. Over the course of two months, participants attended virtual workshops, gaining insight into the development of auditory artistic work in public space, learning fundamentals of sound design, and receiving impulses for structuring audio narratives.
Together with 20 participants from Germany, China, Iran, Portugal, the Netherlands, Kenya, and beyond, we developed content that can be seen and heard throughout the walk. The collected perspectives form a mosaic of sounds and images, resulting in an open, digital, and artistic collaboration that blends into an immersive visual and auditory experience.
Interested in International Collaborations? Whether analog, hybrid, or digital, we are open to new global partnerships! Visit our service section for more information or explore our projects OUTandDOORS and TOGETHER APART.
Accessibility: This video walk is available in both German and English, with subtitles in each language. All paths are barrier-free, except for one steeper incline, where on-site assistance is available if needed.
